Internet Safety
As we are all aware, children as young as 4 years of age are becoming more and more competent at using the Internet. Children and young people spend a lot of time online – it can be a great way for them to socialise, explore and have fun but children do also face risks like cyber-bullying or seeing content that's inappropriate. What we would like you to do
It may feel daunting, but you don't need to be an expert on the internet. Understanding what children do online and the risks they face will help you keep your child safe online. Sit with your child, ask questions about what they've seen online, what they've learnt, etc. Teach your child how they should behave if they saw something inappropriate or if they knew someone who was being nasty to a peer - what should they do?
