World Book Day
27th February to 3rd March 2017
We think books are great and one day just isn’t enough time to celebrate all the fantastic authors out there. So we have planned a week of fun activities.
As part of our English lessons each year group will be investigating a significant author and creating projects and pieces of writing based on some of the authors texts.
Nursery and Reception – Julia Donaldson
Year 1 – Oliver Jeffers
Year 2 – Dr Zues
Year 3 - Enid Blyton
Year 4 – Anthony Horowitz
Year 5 – Philip Pullman
Year 6 – Malorie Blackman
Dress Up Day
Come to school dressed up as your favourite book character on Thursday 2nd March and celebrate World Book Day in style. Don’t forget to bring the book with you! We will be collecting £1 donations for Book Aid International.
