Nursery Admissions
At Downe Manor Nursery we offer 16 morning places (15 hours), 16 afternoon places (15 hours if there are enough families that require this) and 10 full time places (30 hours if there are enough families that require this) term time only.
Nursery is for children who are 3 years old on or before the 31st August, you can apply for your child's place direct to the school at any time.
Places are offered in priority order of the applications being received.
- Morning Nursery: 08.45am to 11.45am
- Afternoon Nursery: 12.15pm to 15.15pm (Not currently available)
- Full Time Nursery (30 hours): 08.45am to 15.15pm (if available)

Reception Admissions
The Local Authority is responsible for allocating places at Downe Manor Primary School
Please note, a place in our Nursery does not guarantee you a place in our Reception class.

High School Transition
Children currently in Year 6 are due to transfer from Primary to High School (Year 7) in September.
Downe Manor Primary appreciates that making the transition from Primary to High School is not only a major step for your child, but for you as a parent as well.
While being a very exciting time, it can also often be a daunting prospect for both children and parents alike. To help simplify the process, click here for guidance on applying for high school.
Parents/ Carers please note that applications must be made directly to the council that you are living in at the time of application, regardless of the borough which the school you are applying for is in. Click on the borough you live in below to make an application

National Offer Day:
3rd March 2025
The deadline for applying for high school is 31 October 2024. Applications received after this date are late and will not be considered until after national offer day.
The national offer day for on time applicants is 3rd March 2025. If you apply online you will receive an email in the evening on 3rd March 2025 confirming the school that has been offered.
At Downe Manor Primary we work closely with local High Schools to ensure the transition to High School is as smooth as possible to preserve the continuity of education. With your support, we hope to assure that that your child will embark on the next stage of their school journey effortlessly.
In -Year Admissions
For all other year group admissions you must apply direct to the borough in which you live in at the time of applying regardless of the borough the school is in.
