Headteachers Message

Welcome to Downe Manor. We are very proud of our school and hope that this website will give you a taste of what makes our school special.

We are a fully inclusive community school and we welcome children and families from a wide variety of backgrounds. There are children from 26 different ethnic backgrounds who speak over 20 languages. We are one strong community, with a clear ambition for ‘Downe Manor, where everybody has the opportunity to be inspired to reach their full potential through memorable learning experiences’.

Our learning through the curriculum is reflective of our community and we are lucky enough to have lots of outdoor green space and a well maintained school building so that children can learn in a happy, safe environment.

Staff work hard to provide a curriculum which inspires children's curiosity; develops their skills and fosters an understanding of others and the world about them.

Central to each child's learning is the growth of each child to be independent, confident and thoughtful.  We want to inspire our children to be the best person they can be; to celebrate their achievements and contribute positively to the school community.
